Meeting of the experts in Prague

Typofix at TypeLab 2024

On Thursday, 13 June 2024, Filip Blažek and Radek Sidun will present the Typofix project within the TypeLab section of the international festival Typographics 2024 held at the Cooper Union School of Art in New York. The presentation, along with others, will be streamed online at TypeLab from 10:15 AM (CET).

Typofix at Kirjak Typography Conference

Filip Blažek and Radek Sidun presented the Typofix project at the typography conference Kirjak at Haapsalu Kunstikool in Estonia. Invited by Mart Anderson, they presented the concept of the European Typographic Proofreader and the future uses it will bring to the general public as well as commercial institutions.

During the December program, we also organized lectures for the public at the Academy of Arts in Prague. Prof. Karsten Rinas from the Department of German Studies at Palacký University presented the development of European punctuation. Boril Karaivanov, book graphic designer and typographer, organizer of Typofest, had a lecture focusing on Bulgarian typographic rules and the peculiarities of the Bulgarian Cyrillic alphabet and punctuation.
